Alicia Silverstone (born October 4, 1976) is an American actress, producer, author, and activist. She made her film debut in The Crush, winning the 1994 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, and gained prominence by appearing in three Aerosmith music videos. She starred in the 1995 film Clueless and the 1997 film Batman & Robin as Batgirl.
Silverstone has continued acting in film, television, and theater. She received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy for Miss Match. A vegan, she supports PETA and published a book titled The Kind Diet.
