Angelique Boyer, born Angélique Monique-Paulette Boyer Rousseau on July 4, 1988, is a French-born Mexican actress. She began her career with secondary roles in the telenovelas Rebelde, Muchachitas como tú, and Corazón Salvaje.
In 2010, Boyer played her first protagonist role in Teresa, a remake of the 1959 telenovela, portraying Teresa Chávez Aguirre, a young woman using her beauty and ambition to escape poverty in Mexico City. Her performance earned critical acclaim and the 2011 Premios TVyNovelas Best Actress of the Year. She was also included in People en Español's Los 50 más bellos list and starred as the lead in Abismo de Pasión in 2012.
