Audrey Justine Tautou, born 9 August 1976, is a French actress and model. She began acting at age 18 with a television debut and made her feature film debut in 1999 with Venus Beauty Institute, winning the César Award for Most Promising Actress. She appeared in films such as Le Libertin and Happenstance (2000).
Tautou gained international recognition for her lead role in the 2001 film Amélie, which won multiple awards including Best Film at the European Film Awards and four César Awards. She has acted in various genres, including Dirty Pretty Things, The Da Vinci Code, Priceless (2006), A Very Long Engagement (2004), and Coco avant Chanel (2009). She has been nominated three times for the César Award and twice for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress. In June 2004, she was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Tautou has modeled for Chanel, Montblanc, and L'Oréal, and supports several charities.
