Bárbara Mori Ochoa, born on 2 February 1978 in Montevideo, Uruguay, is an actress, model, producer, and writer. She began her career in 1992 as a fashion model at age 14 and transitioned to acting in 1997 with a co-starring role in the TV hit Mirada De Mujer on TV Azteca. She later starred in the soap opera Azul Tequila.
Her major breakthrough came in 2004 with the telenovela Rubí, a remake of the 1968 series, produced by Televisa, where she played the lead role. Mori has also starred in several self-produced films and music videos.
