Blu Cantrell (born Tiffany Cobb; March 16, 1976) is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter. She gained fame in 2001 with her debut single, "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)," which reached number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped the US Mainstream Top 40 chart. The song appeared on her debut album, So Blu, and earned her two Grammy Award nominations.
In 2003, Cantrell released her second album, Bittersweet, which was also nominated for a Grammy Award. The album included the single "Breathe," featuring Sean Paul and produced by Ivan Matias. "Breathe" achieved global success, topping the European Hot 100 Singles and the UK Singles Chart for four consecutive weeks and reaching the top ten on several other international charts.
