Carolyn Laurie "Carol" Kane (born June 18, 1952) is an American stage, screen, and television actress. She gained recognition in the 1970s with films such as Hester Street, for which she received an Academy Award nomination, and Annie Hall.
In the early 1980s, she appeared on the television series Taxi as the wife of Latka, winning two Emmy Awards. She played Madame Morrible in the musical Wicked from 2005 to 2014 in regional productions and on Broadway. Since 2015, she has been a main cast member on the Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, portraying Lillian Kaushtupper.
