Cassandra Steen (born February 9, 1980, in Ostfildern, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany) is a German singer, songwriter, and voice actress who gained fame as the lead singer of the trio Glashaus. She released her solo debut album Seele mit Herz in 2003, followed by her second album Darum leben wir in 2009, which was gold-certified and reached the top ten in Germany. The album included the single "Stadt," the fourth biggest-selling single in Germany in 2009. In 2010, she won the ECHO Award for Best National Artist Rock/Pop.
In 2009, Steen provided the voice for the character Tiana in the German dub of Disney's The Princess and the Frog. The duet "Never Knew I Needed" with Ne-Yo was released as the first single from the soundtrack. She released two additional studio albums: Mir so nah in 2011 and Spiegelbild in 2014.
Germany
