Charlene Emma "Charlie" Brooks (born 3 May 1981) is an English actress known for playing Janine Butcher in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. Her portrayal of Janine, which began in 1999, has earned her numerous awards, with storylines involving cocaine addiction, prostitution, and murder.
Brooks has appeared in British television shows including The Bill, Wired, and Bleak House, the latter earning her critical acclaim. She released a bestselling fitness DVD titled "Before And After Workout" and won the 2011 Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special as well as the twelfth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.
