Constance Elaine Britton (née Womack; born March 6, 1967) is an American actress, singer, and producer. She made her feature film debut in The Brothers McMullen (1995) and appeared on the ABC sitcom Spin City as Nikki Faber. Britton starred in the sitcoms The Fighting Fitzgeralds (2001) and Lost at Home (2003), and appeared in films including Friday Night Lights (2004) and The Last Winter (2006).
Britton played Tami Taylor on Friday Night Lights (2006–2011), receiving two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She starred as Vivien Harmon in American Horror Story's first season and returned for its eighth season, Apocalypse. From 2012 to 2018, she portrayed Rayna Jaymes in Nashville, earning Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Other roles include Faye Resnick in American Crime Story (2016), Abby Clark in 9-1-1 (2018), and Debra Newell in Dirty John, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Her film credits include Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012), The To Do List (2013), This Is Where I Leave You (2014), Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015), American Ultra (2015), Professor Marston and the Wonder Women (2017), and The Land of Steady Habits (2018).
