Deborah Ann "Debby" Ryan (born May 13, 1993) is an American actress, director, and singer. She is known for starring as Jessie Prescott in the Disney Channel Original Series Jessie and as Bailey Pickett in Disney Channel's The Suite Life on Deck.
Ryan began acting in professional theatres at age seven. In 2007, she appeared in the Barney & Friends straight-to-DVD film Barney: Let's Go to the Firehouse and was discovered by Disney in a nationwide search. She appeared as Edith in the 2008 film The Longshots and guest-starred in a 2009 episode of Wizards of Waverly Place titled "Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana." In 2010, she starred in the film 16 Wishes, which was the most-watched cable program on its premiere day and attracted high viewership among adults aged 18–34. That year, she also starred in the independent film What If..., which premiered on August 20. In 2012, Ryan starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Radio Rebel as Tara Adams. She directed an episode of Jessie that aired on May 15, 2015. In 2013, she formed the band The Never Ending and was scheduled to perform as an opening act on Fifth Harmony's Reflection Tour beginning in July 2015.
