Eve Myles (born 26 July 1978) is a Welsh actress who graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 2000. She played Ceri Lewis in the Welsh language drama series Belonging from 2000 until 2009. Her early UK television roles included the 2001 miniseries Tales from Pleasure Beach, the 2003 drama Colditz, and the 2005 Doctor Who episode "The Unquiet Dead" as servant girl Gwyneth.
Myles won a lead role as Gwen Cooper in the science fiction series Torchwood from 2006 to 2011, earning a Bafta Cymru award for Best Actress in 2007. She reprised this role in Torchwood radio plays in 2009, 2011, and 2015. Her other TV credits include the 2008 miniseries Little Dorrit, the premiere episode of Merlin in 2008, the 2013 drama Frankie, and the 2014 crime drama Broadchurch as Claire Ripley. In 2011, she voiced a main character in the video game Dragon Age II.
Myles is also an accomplished theatre actress, winning an Ian Charleson Award in 2004 for her performances in Royal Shakespeare Company productions of Titus Andronicus and The Taming of the Shrew. Her theatre work includes Henry IV, Part I and II at the National Theatre in 2004 and the role of Emma in the first UK run of Zach Braff's play All New People in 2012.
