Hailee Steinfeld (born December 11, 1996) is an American actress and singer. She gained recognition for her role as Mattie Ross in True Grit (2010), earning nominations for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, the Screen Actors Guild Award, and the BAFTA Award. She also appeared in Ender's Game (2013), Romeo & Juliet (2013), Begin Again (2013), and 3 Days to Kill (2014).
Steinfeld made her singing debut as Emily Junk in Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) and released a cover of "Flashlight" from the film. Signed to Republic Records in 2015, she released her debut single "Love Myself," which achieved platinum certification in several countries. Her debut extended play, Haiz, was released in November 2015. Additionally, she modeled as the face of Miu Miu in 2011.
