Heidi Klum is a German model living in the United States. She was born on June 1, 1973, in Bergisch Gladbach and has held both German and US citizenship since 2008. She hosts the Pro7 shows Germany's Next Topmodel and Project Runway.
At 19, Klum was discovered in 1992 during the RTL casting show Model '92 and signed a three-year contract as a photo model. She gained international recognition in 1998 as a cover model for the US magazine Sports Illustrated. The following year, she walked the runway for Victoria's Secret and appeared topless on the cover of Vogue. Klum made guest appearances in series like Sex and the City and Malcolm in the Middle, as well as in the film The Devil Wears Prada. She became one of the highest-paid models in the world by 2010. Since January 2006, she has hosted Germany's Next Topmodel, discovering Lena Gercke in the first season. Klum has declined Playboy's requests for nude photos but has numerous topless and nude pictures taken by paparazzi. Rumors of a sextape exist, but its release has been prevented by her lawyers. She has been married twice, divorced from hairstylist Ric Pipino and singer Seal, and has a child with Formula 1 manager Flavio Briatore. Klum currently lives with her children in a luxurious villa in Bel Air.
