Ikkimel, whose real name is Melina Gaby Strauß, is a German rapper from Berlin-Tempelhof. She completed a combined bachelor's degree in German philology as well as social and cultural anthropology at the Free University of Berlin, focusing on linguistics.
In 2021, she received funding from the Initiative Musik, leading to the release of her debut EP Aszendent Bitch in May 2023. Known for provocative lyrics and a unique blend of hyperpop and Jersey club elements, she gained rapid attention. Her collaboration with Ski Aggu on the song "Deutschland" reached number 18 on the German charts. In February 2025, she released her debut album Fotze, praised by critics for its bold perspective and innovative sound.
