Irene Schouten is a Dutch speed skater born on June 21, 1992. She specializes in long-distance and marathon skating and is among the top athletes in her sport.
Her greatest success was at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where she won three gold medals in the 3000m, 5000m, and mass start events, as well as a bronze medal in the team pursuit. She has also won multiple world championship titles. Her endurance and powerful technique have made her a prominent figure in Dutch speed skating.
