Kriti Sanon (born 27 July 1990) is an Indian actress primarily working in Hindi films. She has received a National Film Award and two Filmfare Awards and was listed in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 in 2019. After earning an engineering degree from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, she briefly worked as a fashion model before debuting as a lead actress in the 2014 action films 1: Nenokkadine and Heropanti, the latter earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
Sanon starred in commercially successful romantic comedies Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) and Luka Chuppi (2019), with her highest-grossing films including Dilwale (2015) and Housefull 4 (2019). She won the National Film Award and Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her role in Mimi (2021). Following this, she appeared in several commercially unsuccessful films, including Adipurush (2023), while Bhediya (2022) received positive reviews. In 2024, she had commercial successes with the comedies Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Crew. Beyond acting, Sanon has launched a clothing line, a fitness company, a skin-care brand, and a production company.
