Luba Hegre Shumeyko, born April 8, 1982, in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, is a fashion designer, photographer, and nude model. She trained as a gymnast for five years and completed a degree in fashion design. She became known as a nude model under the name Luba and is the wife, muse, and model of nude photographer Petter Hegre, whose images played a significant role in her career.
Her career began as a model for Hegre, who gained recognition through the then-new medium of the internet. Her images have appeared in printed photo books and magazines such as Maxim, Matador, and Perfect10. She married Hegre in Kiev in 2003. Since 2005, the couple has published a quarterly nude magazine called New Nude, with Shumeyko featured on the cover of the first issue. Recently, she has worked as a photographer and fashion designer, drawing on her studies at the University of Kiev. Her twin sister Nadya has appeared in some of Hegre's photo series but now primarily works as a fashion model in California.
