Maria Borges was born on October 28, 1992, in Luanda, Angola. She was discovered in 2010 during the Angolan version of the Elite Model Look competition.
She began walking the runway in 2012 for designers such as Givenchy, Dior, Armani, and Marc Jacobs. Borges has appeared in advertising campaigns for brands including C&A, Hennes & Mauritz, and L’Oréal. Since 2013, she has participated in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows. In 2014, she was the cover model for Portuguese Vogue.
