Melania Trump is the third wife of American President Donald Trump and served as First Lady of the United States. She was born on April 26, 1970, in Novo mesto, Yugoslavia, as Melanija Knavs. Melania Trump is the second First Lady of the United States to be born outside of America.
She grew up in Sevnica, present-day Slovenia. At 17, she was discovered by photographer Stane Jerko and left her architecture studies at the University of Ljubljana to focus on a modeling career. She worked in Berlin, Paris, and London before moving to New York. Before marrying Donald Trump, whom she met in September 1998, Melania posed for nude and topless photos for various magazines. The couple married in 2005, and their son Barron was born in 2006. Melania also appeared in a revealing manner on the reality show The Apprentice.
