Melina Perez (born March 9, 1979) is an American professional wrestler, valet, model, and actress, best known for her time with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) under the ring name Melina. She began her career as a beauty pageant contestant, winning several modeling competitions, and started training to be a professional wrestler in 2000 at Jesse Hernandez's School of Hard Knocks, making her debut in 2002.
In March 2004, Perez signed with WWE and was assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling, where she managed Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury, known as MNM, to three WWE Tag Team Championship reigns and Nitro to two WWE Intercontinental Championship reigns. Perez is a three-time WWE Women's Champion and two-time WWE Divas Champion, becoming the first woman in WWE history to hold both titles multiple times. Known for her flexibility in her entrance and moves, she was praised by Bret Hart as "one of the best wrestlers in the world" and recognized by WWE for having "perhaps the most impressive arsenal of offensive maneuvers in WWE history."
