Melissa Suzanne George (born August 6, 1976) is an Australian-American actress. She began her acting career as Angel Parrish on the Australian soap opera Home and Away from 1993 to 1996. After moving to the United States, George appeared in films such as Dark City (1998), The Limey (1999), and Mulholland Drive (2001), as well as television series including Friends (2003), Alias (2003–04), In Treatment (2008), Grey's Anatomy (2008–09), and Lie to Me (2010). She received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for In Treatment.
George starred in leading film roles including The Amityville Horror (2005), Turistas (2006), 30 Days of Night (2007), and Triangle (2009). She also appeared in A Lonely Place to Die (2011) and the Australian drama The Slap (2011), winning a Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actress. Her later work includes the series Hunted (2012), The Good Wife (2013–14), the American adaptation of The Slap (2015), and the medical drama Heartbeat (2016).
