Mira Katherine Sorvino (born September 28, 1967) is an American actress. She gained prominence after winning the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Woody Allen's Mighty Aphrodite (1995).
She is known for starring in Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997), Mimic (1997), The Replacement Killers (1998), Summer of Sam (1999), and Like Dandelion Dust (2009). Sorvino received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for Norma Jean & Marilyn (1996) and a Golden Globe nomination for Human Trafficking (2005).
