Nadja Benaissa (born 26 April 1982) is a German recording artist, television personality, and occasional actress. She gained fame in 2000 after auditioning for the reality show Popstars on RTL II, which led to her becoming a member of the all-female pop band No Angels, the biggest-selling German girl group to date.
In 2006, Benaissa released her solo debut album Schritt für Schritt, recorded entirely in German and exploring soul, R&B, and jazz, achieving moderate commercial success. In 2010, she was charged and found guilty of causing bodily harm by having unprotected sex with three men without disclosing her HIV-positive status, resulting in a two-year suspended sentence and community service. She left No Angels in September 2010 for private reasons.
