Odalys García, born on October 23, 1975, in Havana, Cuba, is an actress, model, singer, and show host. She began dance demonstrations at age eight and was admitted to the Alicia Alonso School of Ballet at nine. At 13, she moved to Miami to pursue modeling. In 1991, she co-hosted Univision's Noche de Gigantes with Don Francisco, gaining popularity among Hispanic audiences.
In 1993, García joined Lente Loco as Pupu Pirú, which increased her fame significantly. She hosted De Pelicula, acted in the soap opera Morelia, worked as a disc jockey at WQBA in Florida, and was a spokeswoman for Columbia House's Club Musica Latina and Bally Total Fitness. García is also an executive producer and singer. Her 2001 calendar sold 200,000 copies, and she produces accompanying videos. Her singing career is supported by Abraham Quintanilla, and she has promoted her first CD, including a concert in Monterrey that was canceled due to audio equipment failure.
