Patricia Kaas, born 5 December 1966 in Forbach, is a French singer and actress known internationally. Her music blends pop, cabaret, jazz, and chanson rather than classical chanson.
Since her 1988 debut album Mademoiselle chante..., Kaas has sold over 17 million records worldwide. She achieved notable success in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, Russia, Finland, Ukraine, and Korea with her third album Je te dis vous. Kaas debuted as an actress in 2002 in the film And Now... Ladies and Gentlemen. She has been touring internationally, including the Kabaret world tour starting in 2008. Kaas represented France in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, finishing 8th.
