Pernille Blume was born on May 14, 1994, in Bagsværd, Gladsaxe Municipality. She is a Danish freestyle swimmer specializing in the 50, 100, and 200 meter freestyle events and is particularly active in international relay competitions.
In 2016, she became Olympic champion in the individual 50 meter freestyle event.
