Petra Linnea Paula Marklund, born 12 September 1984, is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and television presenter. She began recording professionally around age twelve and debuted with the single "La La La (Never Give It Up)" in 2003, from her first album September (2004). Her second album, In Orbit (2005), won a Grammis Award and included the singles "Satellites" and "Cry for You," which reached #8 and #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart, respectively. "Cry for You" sold over a million copies worldwide and was nominated for the Swedish Government's Music Export Prize in 2008.
In Sweden, Marklund's biggest hit was the Swedish-language single "Mikrofonkåt," originally by rapper Petter, which topped the charts for 11 weeks and was certified 8x Platinum. It appeared on her fourth album, Love CPR (2011), which also reached number one and became her best-selling album. In 2012, she released her first Swedish-language album, Inferno, under her own name, with the lead single "Händerna mot himlen" certified 6x Platinum by 2015. Her follow-up Swedish album, Ensam inte stark, was released in November 2015. Marklund hosted the Swedish sing-along show Allsång på Skansen from 2014 to 2015.
