Sabine Katharina Lisicki, born 22 September 1989, is a German professional tennis player ranked 110 by the WTA. She turned professional in 2006 and had her breakthrough in 2009 by reaching the Wimbledon quarterfinals and winning her first WTA title, the Family Circle Cup. In 2010, an ankle injury at Indian Wells sidelined her for five months, dropping her out of the top 200. Lisicki won the Aegon Classic in 2011 and reached the Wimbledon semifinals as a wildcard, becoming the second woman in history to do so. She won the Texas Open that year and achieved her highest ranking, 12th, in 2012, also reaching the Wimbledon quarterfinals again. Another ankle injury in 2012 affected her results. Lisicki was the 2013 Wimbledon finalist and reached the quarterfinals in 2014, winning the Hong Kong Tennis Open the same year.
In doubles, Lisicki won the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in 2011 and 2013, and the 2014 Sony Open with coach Martina Hingis. She was a Wimbledon doubles finalist in 2011 and placed fourth in mixed doubles at the 2012 London Olympics. Lisicki holds the world record for the fastest serve by a female player at 131.0 mph (210.8 km/h), recorded in 2014. She also held the record for most aces in a singles match with 27 in 2015 until it was surpassed in 2016.
