Sarah Nicole Harding (born Sarah Nicole Hardman; 17 November 1981) is an English singer-songwriter, dancer, model, and actress. She gained fame in late 2002 after auditioning for the reality television show Popstars: The Rivals on ITV, which led to her becoming a member of the girl group Girls Aloud. The group achieved twenty consecutive top ten singles in the UK, including four number ones, and released six studio albums, all certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry, with two reaching number one. Girls Aloud received five BRIT Award nominations and won Best Single in 2009 for "The Promise".
During Girls Aloud's break, Harding pursued acting roles in Bad Day, the BBC film Freefall, Run for Your Wife, and St. Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold, contributing three solo songs to the latter's soundtrack. She also modeled for Ultimo lingerie. In 2011, Harding entered rehab for depression, alcohol addiction, and prescription drug abuse. She reunited with Girls Aloud in late 2012 for their tenth anniversary, and the group announced their split in early 2013.
