Simone Arianne Biles (born March 14, 1997) is an American artistic gymnast. She won gold medals in the individual all-around, vault, and floor events, and a bronze medal on balance beam at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro as part of the gold-medal-winning team known as the "Final Five."
Biles is a three-time world all-around champion (2013–2015), three-time world floor champion (2013–2015), two-time world balance beam champion (2014, 2015), five-time United States national all-around champion (2013–2016, 2018), and a member of the gold-medal-winning American teams at the 2014 and 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She has won nineteen Olympic and World Championship medals, making her the most decorated American gymnast. Biles was the sixth woman to win individual all-around titles at both the World Championships and the Olympic Games, and with four Olympic gold medals in Rio, she set an American record for most gold medals in women's gymnastics at a single Games.
