Stephanie Cristina Cayo Sanguinetti (born April 8, 1988, in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian actress, singer, songwriter, and model. She began her acting career at age nine with the role in "Travesuras del Corazón" and gained international exposure as the lead female character in the TV series "Besos Robados." She moved to New York City to study acting and dancing at institutions including The Actors Studio, The New York Film Academy, and The Broadway Dance Center.
At 18, Cayo moved to Colombia, where she starred in TV series such as "El Secretario" and "The Hypochondriac," earning the India Catalina award for Best Female Actress in a TV show in 2012 for her role in "El Secretario." She also played Roxie Hart in the musical "Chicago" in Colombia. Cayo released her first music album, "Llegaré," in 2011 with producer Jose Gaviria. She currently stars in the Netflix series "Club de Cuervos" as Mary Luz. In 2016, she planned to release her first English single, "Let Me Go," recorded at Interscope Studios in Los Angeles, with its official video scheduled for release in April 2016.
