Sunmi was born on May 2, 1992, in Iksan, South Korea. She became famous as a member of the popular K-Pop girl group Wonder Girls, one of the most successful K-Pop groups of the late 2000s.
After leaving the group in 2010 to pursue her education, Sunmi returned as a solo artist in 2013. With hits like "24 Hours" and "Gashina," she gained further popularity and established herself as a leading solo artist in the K-Pop industry.
