Taís Bianca Gama de Araújo, born on 25 November 1978 in Rio de Janeiro, is a Brazilian actress. She was the first Black Brazilian actress to be a protagonist in a Brazilian telenovela, starring in Xica da Silva (1996) on Rede Manchete, and later in Da Cor do Pecado (2004) on Rede Globo.
Araújo, of mixed African, Austrian, and Portuguese descent, noted that skin color variation in her family did not attract her attention, despite being the only Black girl at her upper-class school, where Black people were mainly servants. She became the first Black actress to lead a prime-time telenovela on Rede Globo, starring in Viver a Vida. She highlighted the importance of representation for Black girls on TV, including as a standard of beauty.
