Dominican volleyball player Winifer María Fernández Pérez (born 6 January 1995) has made her mark in the sport. Competing with her team Mirador, she took part in the 2015 FIVB Club World Championship. Her popularity surged after a video and various images of her training, personal life, and fabricated photos gained widespread attention in July 2016.

In 2010, she secured the Best Libero, Digger, and Receiver awards at the NORCECA U18 continental championship. She repeated these achievements at the 2012 NORCECA U20 Championship, earning a gold medal along with the Most Valuable Player title. Fernández also claimed a gold medal at the 2012 U23 Pan-American Cup prior to making her debut with the senior national team during the 2012 FIVB World Grand Prix. With her senior squad, she attained gold medals in Group 2 of the World Grand Prix in addition to victories at both the 2016 Pan-American Cup and the Bolivarian Games in 2017. Additionally, she earned a bronze medal in the Dominican Republic League back in 2008 and played for Azerbaijani teams Telekom Baku and Rabita Baku before joining Mirador for their participation in the Club World Championship.
