Yael Grobglas is an Israeli actress, best known for her roles as Petra Solano and her twin sister Anezka on the CW television series Jane the Virgin. Her first major role was in three seasons of the Israeli sci-fi TV series Ha'i (The Island) from 2007 to 2009, which made her popular among Israel's teenage audiences.
She gained recognition for her debut film role in the Israeli horror film Rabies (Kalevet, 2010), which was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival and other international venues. Between 2010 and 2011, Grobglas appeared in several Israeli television shows, including the sitcom Ha-Shualim (The Foxes, 2010), Ramzor (Traffic Light), and Hatzuya (2011). She also appeared as "The Girl" in the interactive video for We the Kings' song "Say You Like Me" and played Gabi in the Israeli series Tanuhi (Relax, 2012). In 2013, she was cast in the lead role of America Singer in The CW's pilot for The Selection, which was not picked up as a series. That year, she also appeared as Olivia in The CW's Reign.
