Bellamy Young, born on February 19, 1970, in Asheville, North Carolina, is an American actress and singer. After studying at Yale University, she began her career in theater before moving to television and film.
She appeared in series such as Scrubs, CSI: Miami, and Criminal Minds, but gained recognition for her role as Mellie Grant in the political drama Scandal (2012–2018), for which she received a Critics’ Choice Television Award. In 2015, she released the album Far Away So Close.
