Brooke Dyan Candy (born July 20, 1989) is an American rapper, singer, stylist, and former stripper. Raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, she appeared in Grimes' 2012 video for "Genesis," noted for her pink, body-length cornrows and metallic, armor-like outfits. Candy gained underground recognition with early releases including "Das Me" (2012), "Everybody Does," and "I Wanna Fuck Right Now" (2013).
In early 2014, Candy signed with RCA and released her major label debut single "Opulence" along with an EP of the same name. She later joined Columbia's UK roster. Between 2015 and 2017, she frequently collaborated with Australian singer Sia and announced her debut album Daddy Issues, releasing several singles without commercial success. Candy left Sony in 2017 after the single "Living Out Loud" reached number 4 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club chart. She has toured as a supporting act for Lizzo and Charli XCX, released the independent single "Volcano" in summer 2017, and announced a second EP for winter release.
