Charlotte Maihoff, born in 1982 in Neunkirchen (Saar), is a German news presenter and journalist. Before graduating from the Franco-German High School in Saarbrücken, she worked as a reporter and presenter for the youth radio of Saarländischer Rundfunk. In 2002, she received the Kurt-Magnus Award from ARD for a report series from Toulouse, France.
Maihoff studied information science, French linguistics, and business informatics at Saarland University. During her studies, she worked at hr XXL in Frankfurt, 1 Live in Cologne, and the political live show Kanzlerbungalow on WDR television. In 2007, she received the Gerhard-Lustig Prize for her master's thesis on fuzzy business process modeling. After graduation, she trained at the Henri-Nannen School in Hamburg, interning at the Sächsische Zeitung in Dresden, Stern magazine, and Spiegel TV.
From 2010 to 2015, she worked for Deutschlandfunk's central news and presented for DRadio Wissen. Since April 2010, she has hosted the television news program "aktuell" for Saarländischer Rundfunk and presented the news segment in "aktueller bericht." In April 2014, she joined the tagesschau24 moderation team and has been a Tagesschau announcer since October 2014. Since 2015, she has occasionally hosted the ARD Nachtmagazin. On September 1, 2017, she moved to RTL to present the news program RTL aktuell.
