Chase Masterson (born February 26, 1963, in Colorado Springs, Colorado as Christianne Carafano) is an American actress and singer. She first appeared on stage at the age of five and later toured for several years as a professional dancer in ballet, jazz, modern, and tap, as well as with a comedy troupe.
She became widely known for her role as the Dabo girl Leeta in the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Originally intended for only one scene, the role was expanded throughout the series and became a career breakthrough. She later hosted the Sci-Fi Channel's news magazine and its online version. She has appeared in additional film and television roles, mostly in the science fiction genre. Outside of acting, Chase Masterson is active as a singer and recently produced a jazz album.
