Ciara Princess Wilson (née Harris; born October 25, 1985) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, actress, and fashion model. Born in Austin, Texas, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she joined the girl group Hearsay, which later disbanded. In 2002, she signed a record deal with LaFace Records with the help of producer Jazze Pha.
Ciara released her debut album Goodies in 2004, which included the hit singles "Goodies," "1, 2 Step," and "Oh," and was certified triple platinum by the RIAA. Her second album, Ciara: The Evolution (2006), reached number one in the U.S. and was certified platinum. Subsequent albums include Fantasy Ride (2009), Basic Instinct (2010), Ciara (2013), and Jackie (2015). She has also acted in films such as All You've Got (2006) and TV series including The Game (2013). Ciara has achieved eight Billboard Hot 100 top-ten singles, received multiple awards, including one Grammy, and has sold over 23 million records worldwide.
