Daisy Fuentes was born on November 17, 1966, in Havana. At the age of three, she moved with her parents from Cuba to Madrid, and in 1974, they relocated to Harrison, New Jersey. She graduated from high school in 1984 and studied journalism and communications at Bergen Community College. While studying, she presented the weather on WXTV Channel 41 and quickly advanced to news anchor. MTV then recruited her, and she gained acting experience in the soap opera Loving.
Between 1994 and 1995, Fuentes hosted a talk show called Daisy on CNBC. In 1997, she became the host of America's Funniest Home Videos, previously hosted by Bob Saget. She has also hosted events such as The Voice Kids, the 1999 Billboard Latin Awards, Miss Teen USA, and Miss USA. Fuentes has served as a spokesperson for Revlon, American Express, Pantene, M&M's, and Miller Lite.
