Dale Frances Bozzio (born March 2, 1955) is an American rock and pop vocalist known as co-founder and lead singer of the 1980s new wave band Missing Persons and for her work with Frank Zappa. She performed major roles in Zappa's works Joe's Garage (1979) and Thing-Fish (1984). Bozzio has released four solo albums and one EP.
Bozzio co-founded Missing Persons in 1980 with former Zappa musicians Warren Cuccurullo and Terry Bozzio, her husband from 1979 to 1986. She contributed vocals and lyrics. The band released one EP and six albums, including the gold-certified Spring Session M (1982). After the band's 1986 breakup, Bozzio signed to Prince's Paisley Park label, releasing her first solo album Riot in English (1988), whose single "Simon Simon" charted. She later reformed Missing Persons and continues to perform and record, releasing the album Missing in Action in 2014 with Cleopatra Records and signing with GRA Records the same year for a new album produced by Stephane Deriau-Reine, her keyboard player since 2013.
