Dana Michelle Plato (November 7, 1964 – May 8, 1999) was an American actress known for playing Kimberly Drummond on the television sitcom Diff'rent Strokes from 1978 to 1986. After leaving the show, she worked sporadically in made-for-TV movies, independent films, and voice-over roles.
Plato struggled with poverty and substance abuse for years and died at age 34 from an overdose of prescription drugs.
