Danity Kane was an American girl group formed in 2005 on the third season of MTV's Making the Band. The members were Aubrey O'Day, Wanita "D. Woods" Woodgett, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, and Aundrea Fimbres. They were signed to Bad Boy Records by Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Their debut album, Danity Kane, was released in 2006 and shipped one million copies in the US, featuring the top 10 single "Show Stopper" and the ballad "Ride for You." Their second album, Welcome to the Dollhouse, came out in 2008 and included the top 10 single "Damaged." They were the first female group in Billboard history to debut their first two albums at number one. In October 2008, Diddy removed O'Day and Woodgett from the group, and the remaining members disbanded in early 2009. Four members reunited in 2013, but Fimbres left in 2014 to start a family. After a conflict between O'Day and Richard, the group disbanded again in August 2014. Their third album, DK3, was released in October 2014.
