Dannii Jane Minogue (born 20 October 1971) is an Australian singer, songwriter, actress, and fashion designer. She became known in the early 1980s through the Australian television talent show Young Talent Time and the soap opera Home and Away before starting her pop singing career in the early 1990s. She achieved early success with hits like "Love and Kisses," "This is It," "Jump to the Beat," and "Baby Love." After a decline in her singing popularity by her second album, she gained recognition in musicals such as Grease and Notre Dame De Paris, and in roles including The Vagina Monologues and Lady Macbeth. In the late 1990s, she returned to music as a dance artist with the UK Club number one hit "All I Wanna Do."
In 2001, Minogue released her biggest worldwide hit, "Who Do You Love Now?," and her album Neon Nights became her most successful. She achieved 13 consecutive number one dance singles in the UK, becoming the best-performing artist on the UK Dance Chart. From 2007, she worked as a talent show judge, including on Australia's Got Talent (2007–2012) and The X Factor UK (until 2010), where she was the winning mentor twice. In 2010, she launched the fashion label Project D London. On 9 November 2011, she received an honorary doctorate in Media and Arts from Southampton Solent University. In 2013, she judged Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model and The X Factor Australia, where she was the winning mentor that year.
