Deborah Ann "Debbie" Gibson (born August 31, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress. She released her debut album Out of the Blue in 1987, which included several international hits and was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA. Her single "Foolish Beat" made her the youngest female artist to write, produce, and perform a Billboard Hot 100 number-one song. Her second album, Electric Youth (1989), was certified double platinum and featured the U.S. number-one hit "Lost In Your Eyes". Gibson wrote all her singles that reached the Top 20 of the Hot 100 charts and was named ASCAP Songwriter of the Year in 1989, alongside Bruce Springsteen.
She continued recording music through the 1990s and 2000s, reaching No. 24 on the U.S. adult contemporary chart in 2006 with "Say Goodbye", a duet with Jordan Knight. Beyond music, Gibson has performed in starring roles on Broadway and touring musicals, including Eponine in Les Misérables and Sandy in Grease, as well as roles in independent film and television.
