In May 2012, while practicing with the U.S. snowboard team in Mammoth, California, Hight made history as the first female athlete to execute a double backside alley-oop rodeo in a halfpipe.

On January 26, 2013, at Winter X Games XVII, Hight achieved a milestone by becoming the first snowboarder to successfully perform a double backside alley-oop rodeo during a halfpipe event.
