Elina Mykhaylivna Svitolina (born 12 September 1994) is a Ukrainian professional tennis player who turned professional in 2010. She reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 3 on 11 September 2017.
Svitolina has won nine WTA singles titles, including Premier 5-level tournaments such as the Dubai Tennis Championships, Italian Open, and Canadian Open, all in 2017. She reached her first Grand Slam quarterfinal at the 2015 French Open. In February 2017, after winning in Dubai, she became the first Ukrainian woman to enter the top 10 rankings. She has notable victories over Grand Slam champions including Ana Ivanovic, Serena Williams, Angelique Kerber, Garbiñe Muguruza, and Petra Kvitová. In doubles, Svitolina has won two titles at the Istanbul Cup in 2014 and 2015, reaching a career-high doubles ranking of No. 108 on 4 May 2015.
