Elise Christie, born on August 13, 1990, in Livingston, Scotland, is a former British short track speed skater. She won multiple European and World Championship titles and specialized in the 1000m and 1500m distances.
Christie competed in three Winter Olympics (2010, 2014, 2018) but faced setbacks due to disqualifications and injuries. In 2017, she became a three-time world champion, making history for Great Britain. After retiring in 2021, she has focused on coaching, mental health, and writing her autobiography titled Resilience.
