Fearne Wood, known professionally by her maiden name Cotton, was born on 3 September 1981. She is an English television and radio presenter best known for hosting popular programs such as Top of the Pops and the Red Nose Day telethons. In 2007, she became the first regular female presenter of the Radio 1 Chart Show, co-hosting with Reggie Yates for two years. She then presented her own Radio 1 weekday morning show from 2009 until leaving in May 2015. In the same year, she presented The Xtra Factor on ITV2 for one year before being replaced by Holly Willoughby.
Cotton began her career in 1996 at age 15 with CITV presenting The Disney Club. Since 2008, she has been a team captain on the ITV2 comedy panel show Celebrity Juice alongside Keith Lemon and Holly Willoughby. Outside of presenting, she has a fashion and homeware range with online retailer Very.co.uk and supports several charities.
